Coachella was supposed to kick off Friday with tens of thousands of fans flooding the desert \u2026 instead it\u2019s been reduced to a ghost town.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The Empire Polo Club grounds, where thousands would park their asses and fire up their Instagram accounts lay bare \u2026 almost like a scene out of \u201cI am Legend.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The streets are empty and entrances to parking lots are also closed. As we reported \u2026 Coachella \u2014 as well as Stagecoach \u2014 postponed the festival<\/strong><\/a> from April to October due to the rising cases of the novel coronavirus.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n TMZ broke the story \u2026 hotels are also taking a massive hit<\/strong><\/a> with attendees requesting refunds. Employees at various hotels we spoke to said it\u2019s unclear if they\u2019ll make up the loss of revenue come October.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n But, for those who still wanna scratch their Coachella itch may find solace in this \u2026 Coachella is slated to drop a documentary about the festival\u2019s history at noon Friday. Not coincidentally, it\u2019s the exact time doors were scheduled to open.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The documentary\u2019s dubbed \u201cCoachella: 20 Years in the Desert\u201d \u2026 and it\u2019ll give fans an in-depth look at the festival\u2019s origins and some of the best performances in history. Fans can find the doc on YouTube.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n As you know by now \u2026 Travis Scott<\/strong><\/a>, Rage Against the Machine<\/strong> and Frank Ocean<\/strong><\/a> are just some of the many artists who were scheduled to perform.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Coachella \u2014 reportedly the nation\u2019s most profitable festival \u2014 has already said all purchases for the April dates will be honored for the rescheduled October dates.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
