English rocker Richard Paul Ashcroft <\/strong>was in his early \u201920s when he formed the influential indie back, The Verve, and released a string of \u201990s bangers including \u201cLucky Man<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d \u201cThe Drugs Don\u2019t Work<\/strong><\/a>\u201d \u2026 and, of course, string-centric ballad \u201cBitter Sweet Symphony.<\/strong><\/a>\u201c<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Ashcroft wasn\u2019t alone on stage \u2026 he was accompanied by Nick Simon Jones<\/strong> on the bass, Nick McCabe<\/strong> on the guitar and Peter Salisbury<\/strong> on the drums.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

While The Verve may have broken up back in 1999, Richard Ashcroft still continues to get on stage and perform as a solo act and toured extensively last year.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
