Idris Elba<\/strong><\/a> contracting the coronavirus meant several members of his movie crew had to quarantine like he did, but they\u2019re pissed about how producers handled the crisis.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

As we reported, Idris revealed Monday he tested positive for COVID-19, but actually went into isolation on March 13 when he discovered he\u2019d been in contact with someone who had the virus \u2014 possibly Justin Trudeau<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s wife \u2014 during a March 4 event in London.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The bigger problem, though \u2014 the actor spent the next several days after that event in Sante Fe, New Mexico rehearsing with his costars and crew members for the upcoming Netflix flick, \u201cThe Harder They Fall.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

So, if Idris really did contract it<\/strong><\/a> in London \u2026 he would\u2019ve unwittingly exposed some people on set. Sources close to production tell TMZ \u2026 filming was halted last Friday, and the crew was told it was due to growing fears over the pandemic. We\u2019re told there was no mention Idris was getting tested.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

As for why they\u2019re concerned \u2014 we\u2019re told Idris had some direct contact with members of the stunt team during rehearsals \u2026 part of which took place in a small cabin.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Yet, our sources say nobody was informed them Idris tested positive until the actor revealed it himself on March 16.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

That same day, we\u2019re told some of the crew traveled home \u2014 possibly exposing even more people \u2014 but other crew members chose to stay and self-quarantine \u2026 and they\u2019re still there. Idris is also still self-quarantining at a house on location, while the crew remains at a hotel in Santa Fe.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

No one\u2019s peeved about the housing situation \u2026 it\u2019s more the lack of communication about potential risks following the news about Idris\u2019 positive test.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

We\u2019re told, as of Friday, no one who worked on the film has been tested, and many people feel more should be done to protect them or give them some peace of mind.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Of course, the shortage of COVID-19 tests has been a major issue nationwide, but if that\u2019s the case \u2026 our sources say production or higher-ups at Netflix should be conveying that, but so far they\u2019ve been silent.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

We reached out to a rep for \u201cThe Harder They Fall,\u201d who told us they can\u2019t comment on the issue. No word back from Netflix.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
