TMZ.com<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n G-Eazy<\/strong><\/a> and Three 6 Mafia\u2019s Juicy J<\/strong><\/a> shoulda known better when they ripped off the work of some Southern hip-hop legends \u2026 so claim those artists in a new lawsuit.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Memphis-based DJ Squeeky<\/strong> and Gaylon Love<\/strong> say they own the rights to \u201cLooking 4 Da Chewin\u201d and claim G-Eazy\u2019s \u201cNo Limit\u201d straight-up sampled their 1993 Southern hip-hop classic.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n Squeeky and Love claim G-Eazy never got permission to sample the track and are suing for copyright infringement. They also want a slice of the profits from G-Eazy\u2019s \u201cNo Limit\u201d track, which enjoyed mega-success when it dropped in 2017 as the lead single in G-Eazy\u2019s fourth studio album, \u201cThe Beautiful & Damned.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n It\u2019s interesting \u2026 \u201cNo Limit\u201d features Cardi B<\/strong><\/a> and A$AP Rocky<\/strong><\/a>, and the remix also includes French Montana<\/strong><\/a>, Belly<\/strong><\/a> and Juicy J. But, Squeeky and Love are only going after G-Eazy and Juicy J.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n The Memphis artists\u2019 lawyer Alcide Honore<\/strong> tells us, for starters, G-Eazy\u2019s getting sued because it\u2019s his track. As for Juicy J \u2026 he hails from Memphis, so he should have known he was rapping over a popular Southern hip-hop track that first hit the scene in the early \u201990s. We\u2019re told other parties could be added to the lawsuit down the road, but for now, the legal team says G-Eazy and Juicy J bear responsibility.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n It\u2019s been a rough week<\/strong><\/a> for Juicy J and counterpart DJ Paul<\/strong><\/a> \u2026 both of whom were slapped with separate lawsuits<\/strong><\/a> earlier this week.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n We\u2019ve reached out to G-Eazy and Juicy J, so far no word back.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
