Some people think stamps are obsolete! Although we live in an ever-increasing digital world, where emails and instant messages make up much of how we communicate, sometimes, you may still need to mail a letter.\n<\/p>\n
When you do need to send a letter, you\u2019ll need a stamp. A lot of people think the local post office is the best place to get them, but that\u2019s not the case (especially if you want to save money!).<\/p>\n
In the post, I\u2019ll tell you where you can buy stamps. I\u2019ll cover the cheapest places first, so you can save money<\/a>.<\/p>\n Okay, so let\u2019s start out with the top three cheapest places.<\/p>\n First though, how much do stamps cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n Currently, the cost of a U.S. Forever Stamp<\/a> is $0.55 (increased from \u00a25).<\/p>\n However, when I was doing my research for this post, and just when I look at prices when shopping, I see that they\u2019re commonly priced for $0.70 to more than $1 a piece in some cases.<\/p>\n So, most times you\u2019ll see them priced $0.75 or more when you\u2019re shopping.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t worry though \u2013 you\u2019re not stuck paying that much.<\/p>\n Below, I\u2019ve listed places you can buy stamps for $0.55 or less!<\/p>\n My number one pick is eBay, because, honestly, you won\u2019t find a cheaper place to buy stamps.<\/p>\n You can find awesome deals on the site. You can save up to 25%-30% sometimes.<\/p>\n At the time of writing, you could buy stamps on eBay for $0.43 each!<\/p>\n That is incredibly cheap, and the lowest price I came across during my research.<\/p>\n Now, the only caveat is that with eBay, they are usually sold in bulk. This means you\u2019ll have to buy a pack of like 100 or even 200.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t ideal if you only need a couple but it is great if you\u2019re trying to buy a book of stamps as it\u2019ll pay off in the long run.<\/p>\n The United States Postal Service (USPS) provides great prices. On the site, you can get Forever Stamps for just $0.55 each.<\/p>\n What\u2019s great about buying them from the USPS is that you don\u2019t have to purchase them in bulk. You can just buy a 20 pack if you want to, rather than 100s like you have to when purchasing from places like eBay.<\/p>\n You could get Forever Stamps for as low as $0.55 each at the time of writing. That\u2019s pretty great.<\/p>\n You could also go in-store if you\u2019re looking for cheap stamps near you and get great deals too.<\/p>\n Like the USPS, with Walmart you don\u2019t have to buy 100s as you do with eBay. You can buy in packs of 20.<\/p>\n What\u2019s great about buying them from Walmart is that you can also pick up other supplies you may need for cheap while you\u2019re there, like envelopes and writing paper.<\/p>\n Office Depot sells stamps at really reasonable prices. While it may not boast the selection offered by sites like eBay<\/a> or Walmart, the few it does list are pretty cheap.<\/p>\n At the time of writing, you could get Forever Stamps that cost just $0.55.<\/p>\n Okay, so now you have the top four cheapest places.<\/p>\n Those aren\u2019t your only options though.<\/p>\n Below, I\u2019ve listed some other places where you can pick up stamps, both online and offline.<\/p>\n These places have good deals or are just convenient.<\/p>\n Their prices may not be as cheap as those found with the places listed above, however, they do sometimes have great deals.<\/p>\n So do check these places too as you may also get a low price!<\/p>\n Amazon is a great place to shop because it\u2019s so convenient, and you may find some awesome deals on postage supplies on there.<\/p>\n Not all of the stamps listed on there are as cheap as those found on eBay, USPS or Walmart, but you can still find some great deals if you dig through the site a little.<\/p>\n The best part is that many items are totally free to ship if you\u2019re a Prime member.<\/p>\n So, you save money on shipping costs!<\/p>\n Sometimes you can find stamps at major pharmacies, like Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS. However, there\u2019s no guarantee that local pharmacies will carry them.<\/p>\n It\u2019s always worth having a look with the bigger chains to see if they carry them.<\/p>\n Some banks and ATMs carry stamps. Now the operative word here is \u201csome.\u201d<\/p>\n Here are a few banks and ATMs that do:<\/p>\n I\u2019ve linked to the bank\u2019s locator page, so you can find your nearest branch.<\/p>\n Some gas stations sell stamps. Not all of them do, however.<\/p>\n It\u2019s mostly bigger chains that\u2019ll sell them. Places to buy them include 7-Eleven, Circle K, and QuikTrip. Just ask the clerk.<\/p>\n UPS stores provide postage stamps, making this another great option if you\u2019re looking for postage supplies.<\/p>\n Just visit the website that we linked to above, and click on the blue \u201cFind a Store\u201d button.<\/p>\n You can then find your nearest UPS store by looking at their \u201cFind a Store\u201d page.<\/p>\n I mentioned above that Walmart was a good place to buy stamps. Walmart is not the only grocery store that sells them though. Many grocery stores and supermarkets do as well, like Kroger and Food Lion.<\/p>\n Just ask at your local stores and you may be able to pick up some for cheap.<\/p>\n In this section, I\u2019m going to give you some ways to get stamps for practically free, no matter where you buy them from!<\/p>\n Survey websites will give you points when you take surveys.<\/p>\n You can then exchange these points for gift cards.<\/p>\n How great is that?<\/p>\n The best part is that these survey sites provide gift cards for places that sell stamps, like:<\/p>\n This is such an easy way to get cheap or even totally free stamps!<\/p>\n A few good survey sites to join include:<\/p>\n So, start taking surveys and get yourself free gift cards!<\/p>\n Swagbucks<\/a> is a rewards website that\u2019ll give you points for doing super easy tasks, like:<\/p>\n You probably already do most of these tasks anyway.<\/p>\n You earn points, called SB, for doing these tasks.<\/p>\n You can redeem your SB for gift cards to places like:<\/p>\n You can also redeem your points for money to a Visa gift card or to your PayPal account.<\/p>\n Either way, Swagbucks essentially gives you free money. You can use these gift cards or money to get your stamps much cheaper, or even for free in some cases.<\/p>\n Some apps will pay you to try other apps \u2013 awesome huh?<\/p>\n So, give these a try:<\/p>\n Since app creators want people to see their products, they\u2019re willing to pay people like you to test them out for free!<\/p>\n Just browse one of the apps above, install new apps, and you get paid!<\/p>\n Use the cash you make to buy stamps at a discount or even get them for free.<\/p>\n You don\u2019t even need to keep these apps installed on your phone for long either.<\/p>\n If you plan to buy your stamps online from a place like eBay, Walmart, or Amazon, use coupons!<\/p>\n Coupon sites list deals for Amazon and other sites. So, this is an easy way to get what you need for a lower price.<\/p>\n Here are a few coupon sites:<\/p>\n Cashback websites are simple:<\/p>\n You visit the site, click on the store you want to shop with, and buy stuff as you normally would.<\/p>\n The difference is you get a percentage of what you spend back.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s say you spend $20 and you get 10% cash back.
