TMZ.com<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Three 6 Mafia\u2019s DJ Paul<\/strong><\/a> and Juicy J<\/strong><\/a> have been staying fly \u2014 musically speaking \u2014 on the backs of other people\u2019s work \u2026 so claim a group of artists now suing the MCs.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n A bunch of Memphis-based artists are going after the legendary hip-hop group, alleging they committed \u201cover 150 independent acts of copyright infringement from more than 100 individual sound recordings.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n One of the many offending tracks listed is \u201cMEMPHIS.\u201d The plaintiffs claim Three 6 Mafia didn\u2019t give them credit for some of the lyrics. Ditto for \u201cTear Da Club Up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n In docs, obtained by TMZ, the group of artists say they came up in the Memphis music scene in the 90s when Three 6 Mafia was also trying to make a name for itself. The group claims shortly after they all met they started collaborating \u2014 producing, recording, writing lyrics for Three 6 Mafia \u2014 but never got a penny for their work.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The artists claim Three 6 Mafia was just one of several musical groups DJ Paul and Juicy J created to profit off the group\u2019s work. The artists claim this led to DJ Paul and Juicy J making millions from their work.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The group is being represented by Bradley Eiseman<\/strong> and is suing for copyright infringement, unspecified damages and an injunction blocking Three 6 from continuing to profit off their work.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
