TMZ Composite<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Tyler Perry<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s family now has almost complete certainty his nephew took his own life, and was not murdered in prison.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Tyler tells TMZ \u2026 they got the autopsy results back from Dr. Michael Baden<\/strong> \u2014 the world-renowned pathologist he hired to look into 26-year-old Gavin Porter<\/strong>\u2018s death in a Louisiana prison. We\u2019re told Baden says he\u2019s 98 percent sure there was no foul play in Porter\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n That seems to confirm<\/strong><\/a> what prison officials told the Perry family \u2026 that Tyler\u2019s nephew hanged himself using bedsheets while in solitary<\/strong><\/a> confinement. The family wasn\u2019t convinced, which is why Tyler hired Baden to conduct an independent 2nd autopsy.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Tyler says, \u201cThe answers don\u2019t take away grief, but it surely gives room for grieving to take its course.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Porter was doing 20 years for manslaughter after killing his father \u2014 in front of his mother, who is Tyler\u2019s sister. He\u2019d been placed in solitary after getting into a fight last weekend. He was found dead Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Tyler told us he had hoped to give his nephew a second chance in life by hiring him at his studio once he completed his sentence.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
