That\u2019s right \u2026 Tom Cruise<\/strong><\/a> and co. are gonna be sent packing from Italy after Paramount announced Monday they were putting a pause on production for their latest installment in the \u2018Mission: Impossible\u2019 franchise \u2014 and it\u2019s all because of the worldwide outbreak.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The studio says, \u201cOut of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, and efforts of the local Venetian government to halt public gatherings in response to the threat of coronavirus, we are altering the production plan for our three week shoot in Venice, the scheduled first leg of an extensive production for \u2018Mission: Impossible 7.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

As you might\u2019ve noticed in the many \u2018MI\u2019 sequels \u2014 including this last one \u2014 they shoot all over the world \u2026 especially Europe. Coronavirus has already reportedly affected a couple hundred or so people in Italy alone, so Paramount clearly isn\u2019t taking any chances.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

They continued, \u201cDuring this hiatus we want to be mindful of the concerns of the crew and are allowing them to return home until production starts. We will continue to monitor this situation, and work alongside health and government officials as it evolves.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

In other words \u2026 Paramount\u2019s gonna be shipping everyone out there back home, including possibly to the States \u2014 which probably won\u2019t make our President all that happy.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

On Saturday, the <\/strong>NYT<\/strong><\/a> reported Trump was \u201cfurious\u201d over 14 Americans who tested positive for coronavirus recently being sent back here from an infected cruise ship without his sign-off. Of course, he downplayed the story on Twitter, saying coronavirus was under control.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Not to say anyone on the production is contaminated, but considering DT\u2019s a huge reported germophobe \u2026 those staffers might wanna consider coming home with masks on.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
