Clint Eastwood<\/strong><\/a> is doing a flip-flip of sorts \u2026 endorsing former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg<\/strong><\/a> instead of President Trump<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 whom he supported in the run-up to the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Dirty Harry gave his thoughts on this year\u2019s candidates to the WSJ<\/strong><\/a>, saying on this year\u2019s competition \u2026 \u201cThe best thing we can do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there.\u201d Clint doesn\u2019t appear to elaborate beyond that, but did have something to say about DT.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

CE says he wants Trump to act \u201cin a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names.\u201d He adds, \u201cI would personally like for him to not bring himself to that level.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

What\u2019s interesting, of course, is that Clint \u2014 a well-known Libertarian \u2014 said he\u2019d have to choose Trump<\/strong><\/a> over Hillary<\/strong><\/a> if it came down to it, back in August 2016 \u2026 and while it wasn\u2019t an official endorsement, it was clear where his allegiance was during that cycle.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Now, he\u2019s backing a Dem \u2014 who used to be a Republican for a while, BTW \u2014 although it\u2019s unclear why. Funny enough, Bloomberg has tried positioning himself as a solid establishment Democrat, who\u2019d further Barack Obama<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s policies and follow in 44\u2019s footsteps.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Of course, Clint skewered Obama<\/strong><\/a> at the 2012 Republican National Convention when Mitt Romney<\/strong><\/a> was selected as the party\u2019s nominee, talking to an empty chair on stage during his speech that he likened to BO\u2019s presidency at the time \u2026 empty (in his eyes, anyway).<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Now, he seems to be down to head in that direction.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
