Getty<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Jason \u201cGummi Bear\u201d Davis<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 who voiced Mikey Blumberg on \u201cRecess\u201d for years \u2014 has reportedly died.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The voice actor \u2014 who\u2019s also the grandson of the late Hollywood billionaire mogul Marvin Davis<\/strong> and Barbara Davis<\/strong> \u2014 passed away Sunday in Los Angeles \u2026 according to a family statement provided to THR<\/strong><\/a>. The circumstances around his death are unclear for now.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Jason\u2019s mother, Nancy Rickel<\/strong>, tells the outlet \u2026 \u201cI am so heartbroken to share the saddest news of my life that my son Jason Davis passed away this morning in Los Angeles.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n She goes on to add, \u201cJason had a true heart of gold with such a zest for life. He was such a caring soul to everybody who ever knew him. He loved his friends and his family above all else. We ask for privacy as we take time to grieve this most devastating loss.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n Jason had struggled with addiction in the past, appearing on \u201cCelebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew\u201d in 2010. Since then, however, he was said to have been working on his recovery and even co-founded a charity called Cure Addiction Now. He was heavily involved in running it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n When it comes to acting, Jason had starred in several other shows and movies besides \u201cRecess\u201d \u2014 for which he served as the voice of Mikey since the \u201990s and in pretty much all the spin-off movies that followed. He also made appearances in \u201c7th Heaven,\u201d \u201cRoseanne,\u201d \u201cDave\u2019s World,\u201d \u201cBeverly Hills Ninja,\u201d \u201cRush Hour,\u201d \u201cMafia!,\u201d \u201cThe Bathroom Diaries,\u201d \u201cThe Locusts,\u201d \u201cThe Crude Oasis\u201d and more.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n He\u2019s survived by his parents and his four siblings.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Jason was 35.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n RIP<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
