Nicki Minaj<\/strong><\/a> needs to take a seat and get educated on what Rosa Parks<\/strong><\/a> went through \u2014 then she\u2019d think twice before dropping lyrics trivializing it \u2026 that\u2019s how folks at the Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development feel anyway, along with Rosa\u2019s nephew.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Anita Peek<\/strong>, Executive Director at the institute<\/strong><\/a> who worked closely with Parks prior to her passing, tells TMZ \u2026 if Rosa were alive today, she\u2019d be extremely hurt by Minaj taking her bus protest \u2014 one of the most significant moments of the Civil Rights Movement \u2014 and putting a negative spin on it for a song, even if she was just trying to be clever or funny.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Peek says there is absolutely nothing funny about segregation in America and suggests Nicki should have known better than to include lyrics people would consider disrespectful.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

One of those people is William McCauley<\/strong>, Parks\u2019 nephew, who tells us \u2026 \u201cIt was both heart breaking and disrespectful that Nicki Minaj would have a lyric in a song that can be used negatively when mentioning someone who provided her the freedoms that she has today.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We broke the story \u2026 Minaj maintains the line<\/strong><\/a> in her upcoming track called \u201cYikes\u201d \u2014 which says, \u201cAll you bitches Rosa Parks \/\/ Uh oh, get your ass up\u201d \u2014 was not intended to be disrespectful at all \u2026 nor was the timing of its release.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Though Peek claims Rosa would not agree with Nicki, she says the legendary activist was all about positivity, so she wouldn\u2019t condemn the rapper \u2026 she\u2019d try to teach her.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

In fact, Peek encourages Minaj to read up on the story<\/strong><\/a> of Rosa refusing to give up her seat to a white man \u2026 and just how serious and dangerous of a situation it was for Parks.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
