Nicki Minaj<\/strong><\/a> teased a new song invoking Rosa Parks<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 name \u2014 on the eve of the legendary civil rights icon\u2019s birthday \u2014 but the Queen didn\u2019t plan to flex when she did and meant no disrespect either.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Sources connected to the femcee tell TMZ \u2026 Nicki\u2019s aware of the heat she\u2019s been catching from folks after releasing a snippet of a track she\u2019s been working on called \u201cYikes\u201d \u2014 which includes the line, \u201cAll you bitches Rosa Parks \/\/ Uh oh, get your ass up.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Some people found it humorous, but lots of others didn\u2019t \u2026 and actually thought it was a slap in the face of a civil rights legend, who would\u2019ve turned 107 Tuesday.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Fact is \u2026 we\u2019re told Nicki was NOT in any way, shape or form attempting to diss the great Mrs. Parks \u2014 she was just using her in what she thought was a clever metaphor aimed at her haters. As for the date \u2014 again, right before Rosa\u2019s born day \u2014 we\u2019re told Nicki didn\u2019t arrange that on purpose. It was a coincidence and in hindsight \u2026 we\u2019re told maybe bad timing. Our sources say Nicki was excited to give her fans new tunes, and everything came together by chance.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We\u2019re told Nicki would never undermine the work Rosa did<\/strong><\/a>, and she hopes her fans know that too.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
