Usually overseas calls will come in and ask you to do various data entry tasks. Once you finish your work, you\u2019re supposed to submit your work and then get paid.<\/p>\n Sounds simple, right?<\/p>\n Well here\u2019s the problem with that. They keep your information to use for whatever they want and they also won\u2019t send you any money.<\/p>\n Yes, it is!<\/p>\n Beyond the fact that there are many people who have confirmed they were never paid by the site, there are actually several other major warning signs that the site is a scam.<\/p>\n When you visit the website, the URL will redirect to a random site depending on where your location. You may land on a site claiming to be a news website boasting how amazing 3HourJob is. Another possible site is a video of a woman claiming to be a mom who works at home and makes tons of money.<\/p>\n The site is designed to pressure people into signing up as soon as possible. You can find count down timers or a graphic that shows the number of available jobs going down.<\/p>\n All of this is fake. It\u2019s there to scare people into agreeing to sign up without thinking clearly.<\/p>\n Another interesting thing about the website is that it claims they have been seen on:<\/p>\n However, they have never been featured by any of these companies. It\u2019s a total lie to make you trust them.<\/p>\n They are known to harass people too if they get ahold of someone\u2019s phone number. If you check the comments of this article<\/a>, you can see that many people have claimed that they got phone calls from someone claiming to work for the site.<\/p>\n While it\u2019s hard to know how this company operates, I believe it\u2019s likely that they sell contact information from people who signed up to other scammers. They can also try to steal your identity with the information you provide to them during sign up.<\/p>\n According to the BBB, 3HourJob has an F rating. Most user reviews that I could find were about the numerous phone calls people have gotten from the scam recruiters.<\/p>\n \u201cI just got a voicemail from it. Sure enough, the website is blocked on my works network for being questionable,<\/em>\u201d said one Reddit user<\/a>.<\/p>\n One interesting thing a user pointed out was that the scammers might be using job recruitment sites to target people.<\/p>\n \u201cJust received a voicemail from this scam also. I am looking for work, but I work in healthcare so I know I didn\u2019t apply as the voicemail indicated. I knew it must be a scam right away. I wonder if one of the job sites I use got hacked. But if you need more, simply search for \u201cMoneyPantry work from home jobs<\/em>\u201d on Google and you\u2019ll find all of our posts.<\/p>\n Obviously, my conclusion from looking into this site is that you should avoid it at all costs. Don\u2019t give them your contact information. Definitely don\u2019t buy anything from them either.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been reported that the site has closed down. However, there is no indication that this will last long. They could easily start up a new website under another name and run the same scam again. For this reason, you need to be careful.<\/p>\n It\u2019s important to remember that if a job seems too good to be true, then it probably is! There are lots of great work-from-home opportunities out there. However, you have to be careful that they are legit.<\/p>\n Always check the reviews of the sites you are interested in joining. Always find out what the Better Business Bureau has to say about the company.
