He says, \u201cThis has become even more outrageous \u2026 normally, in the American justice system, you get arrested after an investigation is completed. The motives here are pretty clear.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n 11:06 AM PT<\/strong> \u2014 YG has recruited powerhouse attorney Joe Tacopina<\/strong>, who tells us, \u201cThis arrest is one that caught YG completely off guard because there is no truth to them. YG has no idea what investigators are talking about and we have not been provided with any details \u2026 we are learning about this case through the media.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Tacopina continues, \u201cRest assured, my client will be cleared of all charges, if they even survive past the arraignment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Tacopina also raises questions about the motive and timing of the arrest, saying, \u201cYG has a performance scheduled at The Grammy\u2019s Sunday where he will honor Nipsey Hussle \u2026 so the timing is suspect, to put it mildly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n YG\u2019s friend and fellow rapper, The Game<\/strong>, also seems to have some questions about the timing of the bust \u2026 taking to Twitter to express his concerns.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n 9:32 AM PT<\/strong> \u2014 Cops now have YG in custody, and law enforcement sources tell us he\u2019s being transported to a jail to be booked for robbery.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n YG<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s Friday is off to a troubling start \u2014 cops showed up on his doorstep before sunrise armed with a search warrant \u2026 TMZ has learned.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Law enforcement sources tell us L.A. County Sheriff\u2019s deputies arrived at the rapper\u2019s San Fernando Valley home around 4 AM, and they\u2019re still there now. YG is home, and we\u2019re told they have a search warrant and an arrest warrant related to a robbery case.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Of course, YG\u2019s SUV was recently connected to a murder case. We broke the story \u2026 the L.A. County Sheriff\u2019s Dept. says it\u2019s close to cracking the case<\/strong><\/a>, but has asked the public for an assist. As we told you, the rapper\u2019s Escalade was involved in a high-speed chase<\/strong><\/a> back in July through L.A. streets \u2014 and it ended with someone in the vehicle shooting and killing a 65-year-old man on a bicycle.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n YG told us at the time \u2026 \u201cI was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood. I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn\u2019t learn of these events until after they happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n It\u2019s unclear if the Friday morning raid is related to that case.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n A couple weeks after the shooting, a Hollywood Hills home leased by YG was raided<\/strong><\/a> and at least one person was arrested for a weapons charge.
