It’s no secret that Facebook<\/a> is looking to expand further into the equipment gap as it’s already done with its Portal smart display<\/a> and its series of Oculus VR headsets<\/a>. However, those produces all keep going revised versions of Android, and Facebook wants to replace it with something akin to “Facebook OS.” <\/p>\n Although that’s not the final identify for the operating system, The Information<\/a> reports that Facebook is working on an in-house OS to eliminate its need for relying on Android. One of the precedes on this project is none other than Mark Lucovsky, a onetime Microsoft employee who co-authored the Windows NT operating system.<\/p>\n Ficus Kirkpatrick, one of Facebook’s AR and VR brains, spoke with The Verge<\/a> about the rumored Facebook OS.
