Simpson<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s hell-bent on going to trial with The Cosmopolitan, and he\u2019s evoking the name of Meek Mill<\/strong><\/a> to plead his case \u2026 according to new legal docs.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Juice is trying to avoid arbitration in his lawsuit against the Las Vegas hotel \u2014 in which he claims he was defamed \u2014 because he argues the Cosmo\u2019s history of \u201cintentionally and recklessly attacking well-known public figures by placing them in a false light and defaming them\u201d warrants a jury trial.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Simpson refers to the rapper in the docs as \u201canother African American public figure\u201d who was defamed by The Cosmopolitan, and says the hotel was \u201cforced to apologize\u201d only because Meek went public with his grievances.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Essentially, O.J. wants to go public with his as well \u2026 which is why he seeks to put the kibosh on a much more private arbitration process. According to the docs \u2026 he also expects a jury to award him much more money in punitive damages.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As you\u2019ll recall \u2026 Simpson was banned<\/strong><\/a> from Cosmo in 2017 just weeks after his prison release<\/strong><\/a> for allegedly being drunk and disruptive. He claims he was neither drunk nor belligerent<\/strong><\/a> and was falsely accused<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
