Juice WRLD<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s closest relatives and friends are paying their final respects to the late rapper at his funeral in Illinois.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Juice WRLD \u2014 born Jarad Anthony Higgins \u2014 had an open-casket funeral Friday at Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ in Harvey, Illinois \u2026 about 45 minutes south of the rapper\u2019s hometown of Chicago.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The program included a collage of pictures featuring Juice WRLD. His mother, Carmella Wallace<\/strong>, also paid tribute to her son. His siblings and grandmother also shared some words.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Several staffers and execs from Interscope \u2014 his record label \u2014 attended, as did Juice\u2019s friend and fellow rapper, Ski Mask the Slump God<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Carmela told TMZ she hopes her son\u2019s story can help others<\/strong><\/a> who struggle with addiction. She also thanked fans for their outpouring love and support.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n TMZ broke the story \u2026 Juice WRLD suffered fatal seizures<\/strong><\/a>, possibly the result of swallowing a bunch of prescription pills after landing early Sunday morning at Chicago\u2019s Midway Airport. Law enforcement sources say it appeared to some passengers he\u2019d taken the pills in an attempt<\/strong><\/a> to hide them from feds searching the plane.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n As you know, the FBI seized 70 pounds of weed<\/strong><\/a> packed in vacuum-sealed bags and stuffed in several suitcases \u2014 but it\u2019s unlikely anyone will be charged<\/strong><\/a> for the huge stash.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
