Juice WRLD<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s 2018 arrest at LaGuardia Airport had nothing to do with racial profiling \u2014 so say law enforcement sources \u2026 who claim it was a standard luggage check that led to his bust.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We broke the story \u2026 the late rapper\u2019s friends are pissed because they believe his history of run-ins with cops at airports \u2014 like the LaGuardia arrest \u2014 show he was targeted, and they think it\u2019s simply because he\u2019s a rich, young, black man.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

However, law enforcement sources tell TMZ \u2026 Juice checked his bag at the NYC airport last year and it was put on a carousel at the ticket counter to go through the jumbo x-ray machine \u2014 just like all the other checked luggage.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

We\u2019re told JW\u2019s bag triggered an anti-terrorism alarm signaling organic materials were potentially inside \u2026 which can be used to make bombs.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

So, TSA conducted a search of the bag, but instead of discovering bomb-making ingredients \u2026 agents allegedly found<\/strong><\/a> marijuana and bottles of codeine and notified law enforcement, which we\u2019re told is standard procedure.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Our sources say cops then searched the bag, confirmed it contained more than 2 ounces of marijuana and codeine and was Juice WRLD\u2019s luggage. We\u2019re told the rapper had already boarded his Southwest flight by that time, but cops got to him before it took off \u2026 and arrested him once he admitted the bag and contents inside were his.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

As we reported \u2026 Juice was initially charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance, but he eventually pled to a much lesser, non-criminal offense.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Regardless, the LaGuardia arrest narrative we got doesn\u2019t suggest any profiling \u2026 at least in that instance. Details are still murky on why his private jet was searched at LAX<\/strong><\/a> in November.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Of course, a search of Juice\u2019s private jet at Chicago\u2019s Midway Airport Sunday morning preceded him suffering seizures<\/strong><\/a> \u2026 which tragically proved to be fatal. The rapper allegedly swallowed a bunch of Percocet pills in an attempt<\/strong><\/a> to hide them from the feds.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The FBI ended up seizing 70 lbs. of marijuana<\/strong><\/a> from the flight, and two men \u2014 Chris Long<\/strong> and Henry Dean<\/strong> \u2014 were arrested for possession of handguns. It\u2019s believed the pilot reporting the handguns may have been the tip that led to the search of the private jet in the first place.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
