R. Kelly<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s ex-wife is out to make it known she has nothing to do with the second installment of the \u2018Surviving\u2019 docuseries \u2026 and has a list of reasons why she declined to participate.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Drea Kelly<\/strong> says the new official trailer for \u201cSurviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning\u201d is misleading to audiences \u2026 because it makes it looks like she was involved.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

That\u2019s because the trailer shows a clip of Drea from the original \u2018Surviving\u2019 docuseries that aired in early 2019<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 in which she had a substantial role \u2014 and she\u2019s not happy about it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Drea says she\u2019s been adamant about refusing to be part of the follow-up, but despite her requests to not be linked to it \u2026 Lifetime did it anyway.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

She says she got a lot of negative backlash from the public after the series aired, but on top of that, she has many grievances with the network and production company. She says her requests to not contact her kids and family members about \u2018Part II\u2019 were ignored, and there has been a general lack of support, security and aftercare for survivors who participated.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Drea says she wants to reiterate \u2014 \u201cshe has no involvement, did not approve any footage or stills of her likeness and is not actively promoting, nor consulting the follow-up series.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

It\u2019s interesting because another notable person is featured in the new trailer \u2014 Kelly accuser, Lisa Van Allen<\/strong>. However, she also told us herself she has nothing to do with \u2018Surviving Part II\u2019 because she\u2019s not pleased with how Lifetime<\/strong><\/a> has been handling the subject matter.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
