Insurance companies repping The Weinstein Company will shell out the full amount.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-3a38250bc09299bc0c36c8ff5555f1a7\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"27.518134715\">\n<p>More than 30 women accused Weinstein of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2018\/06\/05\/harvey-weistein-arraignment-pleads-not-guilty-rape-criminal-sex-acts\/\"><strong>a variety of allegations<\/strong><\/a> \u2026 ranging from sexual harassment to rape. The settlement means that all claims against Weinstein and The Weinstein Company will also get dismissed. The New York Times was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/12\/11\/us\/harvey-weinstein-settlement.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>first to report<\/strong><\/a> the story.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-b0f1cbc95222ee5b3c2409625883abd1\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"47\">\n<p>Genie Harrison, a lawyer for one of the victims, told The NYT, \u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s a markedly better deal to be made.
