Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s claim Scooter Braun<\/strong><\/a> and Scott Borchetta<\/strong> from Big Machine are blocking her from performing her own songs at the AMAs is a complete fabrication \u2026 according to the record label, which thinks she made a calculated move to harm its people.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Big Machine says it was shocked to see Taylor\u2019s comments Thursday, and denies ever saying she could not perform at the awards show or blocking her Netflix special. It adds \u2026 \u201cIn fact, we do not have the right to keep her from performing live anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

To be fair, Swift never said BM was keeping her from performing \u2026 she specifically stated it was keeping her from performing her own songs, and using her own songs and performance footage in the Netflix documentary.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Big Machine also claims Taylor\u2019s admitted to owing the company millions of dollars and it says it was optimistic the 2 sides were working toward resolving the issue \u2026 but then she bailed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Instead, BM says \u201cTaylor made a unilateral decision last night to enlist her fanbase in a calculated manner that greatly affects the safety of our employees and their families.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The label adds \u2026 \u201cTaylor, the narrative you have created does not exist.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Despite Big Machine\u2019s denial, Swift\u2019s friend, Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a>, has her back 100 percent. Selena says she\u2019s \u201csick and extremely angry\u201d over the situation<\/strong><\/a>, and accuses the label of \u201cgreed, manipulation and power.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Gomez says of BM \u2026 \u201cYou\u2019ve robbed and crushed one of our best song writers of our time an opportunity to celebrate all of her music with fans and the world.\u201d She goes on to praise Swift\u2019s character, talent and strength \u2026 and says she knows Taylor will not stop fighting.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Halsey<\/strong><\/a> echoes many of the same thoughts, accusing BM of making an awful business move and being mean and vindictive. She says the label is banking on people not sticking up for Taylor \u2026 but says it\u2019s \u201cbarking up the wrong tree.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
