Kelly<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s officially got problems from head-to-toe \u2014 an infection on one of his little piggies forced him to miss a date \u2026 with the judge.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-42745aad7c1466619e00936073c624c0\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"35\">\n<p>The singer\u2019s lawyer, <strong>Steven Greenberg<\/strong>, says Kelly was absent from federal court in Chicago Wednesday because he had an infection that required his toenail to be removed.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-757b7421f0480474bae4fc25beed3c37\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"33\">\n<p>Kelly was worried someone would step on his ailing tootsie if he appeared in the courtroom \u2026 according to Greenberg. He adds that Kelly is in a walking boot as he recovers from the infection and procedure.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-7035fde73e965f09d9076fefe4e79c4c\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"31\">\n<p>As for the hearing \u2026 it was mostly procedural and just the lawyers for both sides were present \u2014 no defendants were there either. The next hearing was scheduled for February.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-66ef05cebf9d7d017bffe2cd88caefc3\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"26.0063694268\">\n<p>The case is one of several sexual assault cases against Kelly \u2026 he\u2019s also facing federal charges in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/07\/11\/r-kelly-arrested-sex-trafficking-charges-federal\/\"><strong>New York<\/strong><\/a> and has state cases <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/06\/06\/r-kelly-court-hearing-new-charges-sexual-assault-abuse-chicago\/\"><strong>in Illinois<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/09\/12\/r-kelly-bench-warrant-minnesota-no-show-court-hearing-illinois\/\"><strong>Minnesota<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-71459d0fb7c3dfe1625e76d01da1579b\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"33\">\n<p>No word if any future hearings for any of those cases will be impacted by the, umm \u2026 bump and grinding of his toenail.
