Kelly<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s been ordered to use the money from his extensive music catalog to pay his ex-wife child support.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n According to legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a judge just ordered the R&B singer to use his royalties from entities such as BMI and Sony to pay Drea Kelly <\/strong>the $20,833 he owes her each month.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n You\u2019ll recall \u2026 Drea\u2019s been coming after Kelly<\/strong><\/a> for back child support, and at one point he was so far behind on payments<\/strong><\/a> he ended up in jail<\/strong><\/a>. He eventually squared things up<\/strong><\/a> for that tab, but he\u2019s gotta keep up with the monthly payments.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n According to the docs, Kelly\u2019s asking the court to cut him a little slack<\/strong><\/a>, but for now the judge says the dough must be drawn from those hefty royalties.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As we\u2019ve reported, Kelly\u2019s had plenty of financial issues \u2026 scrambling to come up with cash for bail<\/strong><\/a>, child support and even a retainer<\/strong><\/a> for famed defense lawyer Tom Mesereau<\/strong><\/a> \u2026 which never happened.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Kelly is currently in jail<\/strong><\/a> awaiting trial on numerous federal and state<\/strong><\/a> charges.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
