LAPD had initially said they were in DTLA patrolling an area ravaged by burglaries and they were there to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2019\/02\/02\/blueface-arrested-felony-gun-possession-dance\/\"><strong>offer protection<\/strong><\/a>. The concern, cops said, was that there were robberies in that area by gang members and cops were worried the rappers were easy targets.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-da3e17cfc82007d41c0c88e94dbfeb1b\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"33\">\n<p>LAPD had said Blueface and several others scattered and tossed their guns when they saw cops arriving \u2026 but Blueface from the start called BS.
