TMZ.com<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n The estate of Bernie Casey<\/strong><\/a> no longer has a legal cloud hanging over its head \u2026 it\u2019s settled a lawsuit from a woman alleging he attacked her the week before he died.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ \u2026 the former NFL-star-turned-actor\u2019s estate has settled with Cheryl Castillo<\/strong> for a cool $250k. Cheryl had previously claimed she and Bernie were husband and wife but has since filed docs clarifying they were never married and only lived together.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n In docs, the estate agrees to pony up the dough once it sells off Bernie\u2019s house. The settlement also allows Cheryl to live in the house until it\u2019s sold.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n TMZ broke the story \u2026 Cheryl sued the \u201cRevenge of the Nerds\u201d star back in June 2018 claiming Bernie violently tackled her<\/strong><\/a> to the ground just 1 week before his death in September 2017.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Cheryl alleged she got into an argument with Casey over their cars when he suddenly grabbed her by the arm and tackled her to the ground \u201cas though [she] was a football player.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n Casey \u2014 who was U.N. Jefferson, the Tri Lambdas\u2019 leader, in \u2018Nerds\u2019 \u2014 was a Pro-Bowl wide receiver for the L.A. Rams in the \u201960s.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n He died in Sept. 2017 after suffering a stroke.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
