James Franco<\/strong><\/a> is being accused in a new lawsuit of pressuring his acting school students to get naked for auditions while he dangled promises of movie roles that rarely panned out.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The suit, filed by Sarah Tither-Kaplan<\/strong> and Toni Gaal<\/strong>, says that both women were students at the L.A. branch of the Studio 4 school \u2014 which Franco co-founded \u2014 back in 2014. The women claim Franco, and other instructors, engaged in \u201cinappropriate and sexually charged behavior toward female students.\u201d In docs, they claim Franco created \u201can environment of harassment and sexual exploitation.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

According to the docs, Franco offered them roles in independent films he was producing or directing. Their issue is what they had to do got those roles. In the suit, they claim Franco blew off several film industry guidelines for nude scenes. For instance, they claim young and inexperienced female students were \u201croutinely pressured to engage in simulated sex acts that went far beyond the standards in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

For her part, Toni claims she was denied entry into a sex scenes master class because she had voiced uneasiness about how it was run.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Sarah says she did get into the class, and actually did land roles in Franco productions \u2014 but was often required to shoot nude and\/or sex scenes. In docs, she references one in particular \u2014 an orgy scene \u2014 where she claims Franco removed the plastic genital guards from \u201cactresses\u2019 vaginas while he simulated oral sex on them.\u201d That would be a major no-no in the industry.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

She also alleges she witnessed Franco get angry at other actresses \u2014 who refused to go topless or engage in his \u201csexual exploits\u201d \u2014 and they would be replaced by other women.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

According to the suit, Franco did follow through on casting some students \u2014 as he did Tither-Kaplan \u2014 in movies like \u201cThe Disaster Artist\u201d \u2026 but they would end up on the cutting room floor.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The NY Times and NPR first reported the lawsuit, which the women are seeking to make a class action that would allow other Studio 4 students to join.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
