Gene Simmons<\/strong> is on a break from rockin\u2019 and rollin\u2019 all night to deal with some pesky kidney stones \u2014 and he underwent a procedure this week to nip it in the bud.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Sources close to the KISS singer tell TMZ \u2026 Gene was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Hospital early Tuesday morning to undergo a medical procedure that should help get rid of the stones. It\u2019s non-invasive, we\u2019re told, and only took about an hour to complete.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Our sources say a stent was inserted in his urethra, which helps urine flow from the kidney to the bladder \u2026 ultimately forcing the stones to pass through. Sounds like he\u2019ll be peeing \u2019em out soon.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We\u2019re told the stent will be removed in about a week \u2014 and any remaining stones will be removed too. Gene should be good to go at that point.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

It sounds like he\u2019s been ramping up for this procedure for at least a few weeks now \u2014 Gene tweeted to fans on Sept. 13 that he and the band would be putting their farewell tour<\/strong><\/a> on pause so he could handle his health issues. But, he assured them it was no biggie.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Here\u2019s the kicker \u2026 back in 2009, Gene sold one of his kidney stones for $15,000, which ended up going to charity. If things go well here \u2026 he might have a bundle on his hands.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
