He\u2019s a big fan of theirs, apparently.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-862d4a3a35454b0f30d749eeb3ca5500\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-image-block canvas-image-block-permalink \">\n<div class=\"image-block\">\n              <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid img-aspect-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/etrafficlane.com\/newline\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/1569540790_447_Jennifer-Lopez-and-Shakira-Co-Headlining-Super-Bowl-LIV-Halftime-Show.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-f2a2ee883a444cae69bae778441bbba3\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"35\">\n<p>Then our photog asked an interesting question \u2014 in light of Bruce\u2019s epic Halftime Show back in 2009, does he think <strong>Roger Goodell<\/strong> and co. are pivoting way too hard toward pop music \u2026 and snubbing classic rock acts in the process for the big stage?<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-aa183dcc6a14a28df9706efad56587dd\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"33\">\n<p>While it\u2019s true that Bruce and the E Street Band put on a helluva performance that year, check out his answer here \u2026 it doesn\u2019t sound like he agrees with the premise.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-18b9f5bff9a9bd21c5e968b2837c6ef9\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-youtube-video-block canvas-youtube-video-block-permalink \"\/>\n<section id=\"cb-bd1c39c188d0adb4029613fc1e0360ce\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"33\">\n<p>For the record, the Super Bowl Halftime Shows have been a fairly balanced mix of rock and pop over the years \u2014 although the 2010s have veered to being more pop heavy.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-b0cbb2147ad6f6c82050d75ad5cab045\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink canvas-block-is-last \" readability=\"37\">\n<p>That said, we ask if guys like <strong>Jon Bon Jovi<\/strong> and <strong>Billy Joel<\/strong> should get a crack at it one of these days, and Bruce says sure \u2026 they\u2019d be great too.
