Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> is expected to show up in court Wednesday for a conservatorship battle that multiple sources have described as \u201ca fireworks show.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ \u2026 Britney\u2019s mom, Lynne<\/strong><\/a>, will ask the judge to terminate Jamie<\/strong><\/a> as Britney\u2019s conservator. Currently, Britney\u2019s care manager, Jodi Montgomery<\/strong>, is the temporary conservator per Jamie\u2019s wishes, and he\u2019s expected to retake the reins on January 20. But, we\u2019re told Lynne thinks Jamie is no longer fit to continue in that role.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

A critical piece of evidence is expected to be unveiled during the hearing \u2014 the report by a court-appointed evaluator who spent months gathering evidence on the care Britney has received. The evaluator looked at Britney\u2019s primary doctor, Dr. Timothy Benson<\/strong>, who died unexpectedly<\/strong><\/a> on August 24, suddenly at age 48. We\u2019re told the evaluator put Dr. Benson and Jamie under a microscope, but so far it appears only the judge knows what\u2019s in the report.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The good news for Jamie \u2026 the D.A. just rejected a child abuse case<\/strong><\/a> against him for the August 24 altercation<\/strong><\/a> he had with Britney\u2019s eldest son, 14-year-old Sean.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

The bad news for Jamie \u2026 he\u2019s still under a restraining order<\/strong><\/a> that prohibits him from having any contact with either of Britney\u2019s 2 children.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

And, there\u2019s more bad news for Jamie \u2026 we\u2019re told Britney\u2019s furious at him over his confrontation with Sean where he allegedly laid hands on him. Our sources say Britney hasn\u2019t spoken to Jamie since the incident. And, we\u2019re told there\u2019s a \u201cstrong likelihood\u201d Britney will show up in court and support Lynne, with whom she\u2019s gotten close<\/strong><\/a> with over the last 6 months.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

But, there\u2019s this \u2026 we\u2019re told Lynne will not ask to become Britney\u2019s conservator. We know Lynne did not object to Jodi Montgomery as the temporary conservator<\/strong><\/a>, but we don\u2019t know how she would feel about making it permanent.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Someone involved in the case tells TMZ, there will be \u201cmajor surprises\u201d in court.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
