Getty<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Eddie Money<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s ready to get back on the road to recovery \u2026 after he was forced to stop cancer treatment during a 3-month hospitalization after an unrelated health scare.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Sources close to the rock star tell TMZ \u2026 Eddie has spent the last 3 months in the hospital following complications related to his heart valve procedure back in May. We\u2019re told he was discharged late last month. He\u2019s currently at a private rehab center recovering from his lengthy hospital stay.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The bad news \u2026 Eddie had to stop treatment for stage 4 esophageal cancer because he developed pneumonia from the surgery and there were lingering issues. The good news \u2026 we\u2019re told Eddie\u2019s cancer did NOT take a turn for the worse. In fact \u2026 our sources say doctors consider Eddie\u2019s cancer in check.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As we first reported \u2026 Eddie was diagnosed with cancer<\/strong><\/a> last fall, but no one knew until recently. No one knew until now he had other serious issues involving his heart.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As we reported in July \u2026 Eddie caught pneumonia<\/strong><\/a> just days after his heart valve<\/strong><\/a> procedure. The pneumonia put his touring on ice for the rest of the year.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Our sources say Eddie\u2019s on the mend \u2026 and will resume cancer treatment soon.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Rooting for ya, Eddie.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
