Election Day is a unique collaboration between Juergen Teller, Vivienne Westwood, former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and Westwood\u2019s husband, Andreas Kronthaler, and brings together images from Westwood\u2019s Spring\/Summer 09 advertising campaign.<\/p>\n

The photographs show a romp starring Anderson, Westwood, Kronthaler and rock band The Queens of the Stone Age. Teller\u2019s mise en sc\u00e8ne escapes precise categorisation, combining images of the protagonists in a golf buggy, Anderson reading Plato\u2019s Republic with her nipple visible through sheer fabric, Westwood and Anderson frolicking in clothes baskets in a laundrette, and the two beaming in front of a television announcing Barack Obama\u2019s imminent victory. The cavorting characters elaborate a bizarre narrative which highlights the hope surrounding Obama\u2019s victory, the quintessential nature of Westwood\u2019s clothes, and Teller\u2019s signature style.<\/p>\n
