Kanye West<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s dome-like housing prototypes have drawn the ire of his neighbors for a while, and they just called the cops on him.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Some of Ye\u2019s Calabasas neighbors tell TMZ \u2026 there\u2019s been a crazy amount of construction work going on at the site. They say construction crews were working for more than 12 hours Saturday \u2014 the city allows construction from 8 AM \u2013 5 PM \u2014 and Sunday as well. The city does not allow Sunday construction.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We\u2019re told at least one neighbor called the cops Sunday complaining of noise, and L.A. County Sheriff\u2019s deputies responded at 7:30 PM and found a construction crew hard at work on one of the domes.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

We\u2019re told the deputies told the crew to stop \u2026 and they did.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Kanye\u2019s neighbors have been complaining for a while about the prototypes<\/strong><\/a>, which he constructed as models for his vision of an egalitarian community.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Turns out Kanye\u2019s crew didn\u2019t get permits and he was cited for violating the building code<\/strong><\/a>. He was given the option to either get the proper permits or tear the 4 structures down by Sept. 15. He\u2019s chosen the latter \u2026 thus the continued noise.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

It\u2019s unclear if Kanye\u2019s going back to the drawing board or jettisoning the project<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
