But you\u2019re starting from scratch. How do you get popular without spending money on ads? <\/p>\n<p>Hey, everyone, I\u2019m Neil Patel, and today I\u2019m going to share with you how to generate over 25,000 subscribers on YouTube in less than a year. <\/p>\n<p>#1 Your content has to be super emotional. <\/p>\n<p>Just look at this video. I\u2019m emotional when I speak and talk, not because I\u2019m trying to do it on purpose, but it\u2019s because I\u2019m super passionate about entrepreneurship and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>#2: You have to tell people to subscribe to your channel<br \/>When they\u2019re out there, they\u2019re listening to your YouTube video. You have to ask them to subscribe. <\/p>\n<p>At the end of my videos, I started adding that. I didn\u2019t have that in my earlier videos, but when I started adding that I noticed a significant increase in how many subscribers I was getting. <\/p>\n<p>It was roughly three times more. <\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s crazy. <\/p>\n<p>All by telling people at the end of the video to subscribe the exit screen and the design which you can see right here, it makes it easier to get subscribers. <\/p>\n<p>#3: The next thing you want to do is use the right keywords. <\/p>\n<p>You can use tools like Google Trends to see what\u2019s popular. Google Keyword Traffic Estimator, or Google Keyword Planner technically, right? <\/p>\n<p>But either way, it\u2019ll tell you what keywords are popular, the searches they\u2019re getting. <\/p>\n<p>I also use Ubersuggest. It gives me more keyword ideas for my ideas. And this all tells me what keywords to put in my title, my descriptions, so that way my videos get more views. <\/p>\n<p>#4: The next thing you want to do is go hit up other bloggers who are writing similar content about the videos you\u2019re producing and hit them up and ask them to embed your videos. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s straightforward. <\/p>\n<p>You go to BuzzSumo.com; you type in keywords related to your videos. It\u2019ll show you the popular articles, and you want to shoot an email to the person who wrote that article. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHey John, I love your content, but you know what? Some people are visual learners. I created a video that\u2019s inspired by your latest blog post. I was wondering would you mind embedding it?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>So by getting more people to embed your videos, you\u2019re going to get external traffic. <\/p>\n<p>#5: The last tip I have for you is to make sure your videos are super long and engaging. <\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re not showing emotion and engaging throughout your video or if your videos aren\u2019t long, they\u2019re not going to do well. Just go check out my earlier YouTube videos. Some are two minutes, three minutes, four minutes. <\/p>\n<p>Some are even one minute. You know what happens when a video is really short? <\/p>\n<p>YouTube doesn\u2019t give it much clout, your channel won\u2019t do as well, and all of your videos won\u2019t rank as high or getting as many suggestions, right? <\/p>\n<p>You know once you\u2019re done watching a video, you see more suggested videos? <\/p>\n<p>Well, the key to doing well on YouTube is to have a super long video. I\u2019m not saying 30, 40 minutes. <\/p>\n<p>Anything five or six minutes plus is excellent.
