Getty<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Jay-Z<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 one of Colin Kaepernick<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s biggest supporters \u2014 is teaming up with the NFL for a music and social justice campaign \u2026 this according to reports.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The partnership is with Hov\u2019s Roc Nation company \u2026 in which the rap mogul will be the league\u2019s \u201clive music entertainment strategist\u201d \u2026 including working together on the league\u2019s \u201cInspire Change\u201d activism campaign, according to The New York Times<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Here\u2019s where it gets interesting \u2014 just last year, Jay-Z called the NFL out, dissing the league in a song called \u201cAPESH*T\u201d \u2026 where he rhymed about turning down for the Super Bowl halftime show to show solidarity with Kaepernick.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The role will make Jay a consultant for the show he so publicly rejected.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n It\u2019s clear the league is trying to make amends for all the backlash it received in the handling of the national anthem demonstrations \u2026 and a man with Jay-Z\u2019s reverence and influence will certainly help him do that.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As for the Inspire Change initiative \u2026 it was created earlier this year to \u201ccreate positive change in communities across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n It\u2019ll be interesting to see what Kaepernick thinks about this.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
