City Attorney\u2019s Office \u2026 so claims the late rapper\u2019s business partner.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n L.A. businessman David Gross<\/strong> \u2014 who\u2019s a co-owner of the strip mall in the Crenshaw District, where Nipsey\u2019s Marathon Clothing store is located \u2014 is alleging the City Attorney\u2019s Office was running a smear campaign against the property in an ongoing, months-long effort to get them the hell out.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Gross says he received the letter in February of this year \u2014 which he claims the City Attorney\u2019s staff leaked to the New York Times \u2014 alleging the strip mall is a hot spot for gang activity and crime, and that the city can force him out if he doesn\u2019t nip it in the bud.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n Nipsey\u2019s biz partner says the City Attorney\u2019s Office has wanted Nip and his comrades out of the area since day one \u2014 and has stopped at nothing to accomplish that \u2026 even after the MC\u2019s death<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As we reported \u2026 Nipsey and his business were being investigated<\/strong><\/a> by the LAPD prior to his death \u2014 at the same time the LAPD was publicly praising Hussle for his community work.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n In fact, the LAPD was set to meet Hussle<\/strong><\/a> a day after he was gunned down, to discuss ways to curb gang violence in his hood.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
