href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/people\/lil-nas-x\/\"><strong>Lil Nas X<\/strong><\/a> is using his popularity to jack old songs and rack up millions of views \u2014 and dollars \u2014 without rights to do so \u2026 according to a new lawsuit.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-aed9d6cbfb0f7fbedbdebf0961f332b1\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"39\">\n<p>The 20-year-old rapper \u2014 who\u2019s been the hottest thing in hip-hop and possibly country this year \u2014 is being sued, along with Sony, by a company called The Music Force for jacking the 1982 <strong>Bobby Caldwell<\/strong> song, \u201cCarry On.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-bf82c684777b4eec19bbf93188dda294\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-youtube-video-block canvas-youtube-video-block-permalink \"\/>\n<section id=\"cb-eea33a4ebdeb7bb1ee78c2bd56680ec7\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"35\">\n<p>According to the suit \u2026 X posted a track on YouTube, Spotify and Soundcloud that appropriated parts of \u201cCarry On\u201d without permission, and as of early July it had nearly 4 million YT views.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-a2acd35ed9043a8e4c41cda7749e8fda\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"29\">\n<p>The Music Force alleges Lil Nas was \u201cmotivated by greed and malicious intent.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-831317173c350acf11fc4968c43c941c\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"31\">\n<p>The company is also suing Sony because it recently signed the rapper to a record deal \u2026 and it says it should made sure its artist got the song cleared.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"cb-179b0a93eaeca2d9baafcd3d6d3e9e7d\" class=\"canvas-block canvas-block-permalink canvas-text-block canvas-text-block-permalink \" readability=\"33\">\n<p>The
