At the end of the vid I share 9 different ways you could make money off your own art. <\/p>\n<p>Financial success isn\u2019t the only measure of artistic success and for some people it might not even enter into the equation. For me though, I was 28 when I started out painting and being able to support myself with my art was really important. <\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve been painting for 5 years now, and it\u2019s only been in the past year and a half that I\u2019ve actually been able to live off what I make as an artist. I\u2019ve learned a lot over that time which I\u2019d love to share with you. <\/p>\n<p>Initially I had no idea how to make a career out of being an artist and I assumed I\u2019d create art and people would just buy it\u2026 simple right? Well, the past few years have been a steep learning curve and I\u2019ve learned more about what won\u2019t make money than what will! <\/p>\n<p>A couple of years ago someone told me that you need 9 streams of revenue to make a living off creative pursuits \u2013 so if some failed or the market changed your eggs wouldn\u2019t be all in one basket and you\u2019d still manage to pay your rent and put food on the table.
