Kelly<\/strong><\/a> is scared for his life behind bars \u2026 fearing retaliation from fellow inmates who know he\u2019s accused of horrid sex crimes involving underage girls.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Kelly\u2019s attorney, Nicole Blank Becker<\/strong>, tells TMZ \u2026 during a recent visit with the embattled singer in federal prison, he told her that he\u2019s happy he\u2019s in solitary because he believes his life would be in real danger in gen pop. Kelly feels way safer by himself.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As we reported \u2026 Kelly is behind bars for the foreseeable future because the judge denied bond<\/strong><\/a> during Tuesday\u2019s hearing. Prosecutors say they have their hands on the alleged sex tapes<\/strong><\/a> at the center of the probe, which they claim show Kelly having sex with underage girls.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Although Kelly thinks he\u2019s better off in solitary, his attorney says it creates a problem because he has no one to lean on. He can\u2019t read or write<\/strong><\/a>, and that makes even the most mundane tasks super difficult, such as figuring out what\u2019s on the commissary list.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Kelly has access to a phone for a total of 15 minutes a month to speak with family and friends. \u00a0Prisoners in general pop have access to the phone all the time. There\u2019s also no access to TV or the internet.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n As for supporters inside the prison \u2026 we\u2019re told zilch.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
