Getty<\/span>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n G-Eazy<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s hoping for a little less conversation and a lot more action \u2026 leading to him landing the role of Elvis Presley<\/strong><\/a> in an upcoming movie about the music icon.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n The rapper\u2019s not among the reported top names up for consideration to play The King in Baz Luhrmann<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s upcoming biopic, but sources close to the project tell TMZ \u2026 he\u2019s making a strong push to join them.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n We\u2019re told G-Eazy\u2019s been in talks with people at Warner Bros. and even had a few meetings, including with the director \u2026 making it clear he\u2019s throwing his hat in the ring.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Our sources say G and Baz spent some time in NYC last month, and Eazy made his pitch to show Luhrmann how serious he was about portraying Presley.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n He\u2019s not been shy about his desire to nab the role of the rock \u2018n\u2019 roll god either \u2014 he shared these Elvis-esque shots of himself a couple weeks back with the caption, \u201cDon\u2019t be cruel, to a heart that\u2019s true.\u201d All he\u2019s missing are some blue suede shoes.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n So far, Baz hasn\u2019t revealed who he\u2019s leaning toward casting for the part, but 5 big names \u2014 Ansel Elgort<\/strong><\/a>, Miles Teller<\/strong><\/a>, Aaron Taylor-Johnson<\/strong>, Harry Styles<\/strong><\/a> and Austin Butler<\/strong> \u2014 have tested for it.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n G-Eazy\u2019s clearly hoping to shake things up and land the gig as his big foray to acting, but Hollywood\u2019s tough \u2026 and it\u2019s possible he might end up at the Heartbreak Hotel \u2014 sorry.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
