Eddie Money<\/strong><\/a> won\u2019t be back onstage anytime soon \u2014 TMZ has learned the legendary rocker took a turn for the worse after surgery \u2026 which has put him out of commission for the rest of 2019.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

The heart procedure Eddie underwent toward the end of May went off without a hitch \u2014 but his rep tells us he became ill during recovery. We\u2019re told Eddie has developed pneumonia, and as a result \u2026 he\u2019s canceling the rest of his national tour.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

\n

We broke the story \u2026 Eddie was powering through his Memorial Day concerts, despite dealing with shortness of breath, and eventually got the doctor\u2019s orders \u2026 he was told to hit pause on the shows, and undergo a heart valve procedure<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

At first, we were told he was set to hit the road again around mid-June \u2026 but now, Eddie\u2019s taking the rest of the year off to fully recover. Can\u2019t blame him \u2026 back-to-back ailments aren\u2019t easy on the body.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n

Not to worry \u2026 we\u2019re told Eddie is on the mend and looking forward to getting back to work in 2020 to promote his new album, \u201cBrand New Day,\u201d and the second half of his reality show, \u201cReal Money,\u201d which airs on AXS TV.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
