Fab 5 Freddy<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0says\u00a0Linda Fairstein<\/strong>\u00a0was \u201cevil\u201d to the Central Park 5, and until she says sorry for her misdeeds \u2026 she deserves every bit of backlash she\u2019s getting.<\/p>\n

We got the hip-hop legend outside a West Hollywood cafe, and asked about Ava DuVernay<\/strong>\u2018s new Netflix series about the case, \u201cWhen They See Us<\/strong>.\u201d As a native New Yorker, Freddy said he remembers the case well \u2014 specifically how the boys were convicted in the media, even before the verdicts.<\/p>\n

Freddy says Fairstein \u2014 as head of the sex crimes unit of the Manhattan D.A.\u2019s Office \u2014 knowingly ruined the kids\u2019 lives by interrogating them under duress to get false confessions. He says she needs to admit that publicly if she wants the public\u2019s forgiveness.<\/p>\n

\"author\"Even though all 5 were exonerated in 2002, Fairstein has maintained she got the case right.<\/p>\n

Freddy says that\u2019s why he\u2019s also backing the #CancelLindaFairstein. She went on to become a successful author, and the movement calls for boycotting publishers and distributors of her books \u2026 east until she shows contrition.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s also pissed about\u00a0Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>, who infamously took out newspaper ads at the time calling for NY State to reinstate the death penalty for the Central Park 5. Freddy says the now-President should be big enough to apologize now.<\/p>\n

Fat chance \u2026 Trump said in 2016 he still believes the wrongfully convicted men are guilty, despite all evidence to the contrary.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
