\"DistrictMeek Mill<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s been getting a raw deal from Judge Genece Brinkley<\/strong> and deserves a new trial without her on the bench \u2026 and that\u2019s according to the District Attorney in Philly.<\/p>\n

The D.A.\u2019s Office just filed new docs in Pennsylvania Superior Court stating Judge Brinkley\u2019s appearance of bias has been evident throughout the case \u2026 and therefore, Meek should be retried in his probation violation case.<\/p>\n

\"Genece<\/a>You\u2019ll recall, Judge Brinkley sentenced Meek to 2 to 4 years<\/strong><\/a> in state prison \u2014 which was eventually set aside when Meek was released in April 2018<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>\u2026 promptly boarding a chopper with 76ers owner Michael Rubin.<\/p>\n

Since then, he appealed<\/strong><\/a> and asked for a new trial, but Judge Brinkley shot him down last June \u2026 refusing to grant the retrial.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s kind of extraordinary \u2026 with Wednesday\u2019s filing, you now have the D.A. on the record siding with the defendant. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, the D.A. calls out Brinkley\u2019s bias against Meek \u2026 singling out a surprise visit she made to a homeless shelter where Meek was doing court-ordered community service.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The D.A. points out that\u2019s not what judges do \u2026 that\u2019s for probation officers who report back to the judge. According to the docs, Brinkley also \u201cabused her discretion\u201d when she hit him with the 2 to 4 year sentence for \u201ctechnical violations\u201d of his probation. Still, she has repeatedly refused to recuse herself from the case.<\/p>\n

Even the D.A. says Meek serves no threat to the community, and had completed drug treatment \u2014 and, therefore, deserves another shot in court \u2026 sans Brinkley.\u00a0<\/p>\n
