Margot Robbie<\/span><\/p>\n The Perfect Sharon Tate in New Trailer<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026 Says Sister, Debra Tate<\/span><\/p>\n 5\/22\/2019 12:40 AM PDT<\/p>\n EXCLUSIVE<\/span><\/p>\n Critics and fans are getting their first good look at Margot as\u00a0Sharon Tate<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0now that the second trailer for Quentin Tarantino<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s upcoming film has been released. Debra tells TMZ, from what she\u2019s seen, it looks like Margot knocked it out of the park.<\/p>\n As we\u2019ve told you, Debra\u2019s been supportive of the movie\u2019s portrayal of her sister \u2026 who was murdered by \u201cManson Family\u201d members. She told us\u00a0meeting with Tarantino<\/strong><\/a>, reading the script and even being on set set her at ease \u2026 but she was still concerned about one particular scene.<\/p>\n At least she was until seeing the trailer.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Check it out \u2026 at the 1:30 mark, Sharon goes to the theater to see a movie she\u2019s in and tells the ticket taker who she is. Debra tells us she was worried, while reading the script, the scene would make Sharon look conceited \u2026 but she\u2019s relieved it doesn\u2019t come off that way at all.<\/p>\n Debra says, \u201cDepending on how Margot played it, it could\u2019ve appeared egotistical. But,\u00a0 no, she did a beautiful job. Sharon did not have an egotistical bone in her body.\u201d<\/p>\n Debra adds \u2026 \u201cMargot captures Sharon\u2019s sweetness very nicely.\u201d<\/p>\n The movie got a standing ovation Tuesday at a Cannes screening \u2014 and Debra says now that she\u2019s seen the new trailer, she\u2019s excited to see the full movie. Before it\u2019s July release, though, she\u2019s focusing on the parole board hearing next month for the\u00a0Charles Manson<\/strong><\/a> associate, Bruce Davis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n She\u2019s still fighting in her sister\u2019s honor to keep \u201cManson Family\u201d criminals locked up, and tells us she believes Davis is still violent and needs to stay behind bars.<\/p>\n Debra\u2019s organized a petition with 19,000 signatures for support \u2014 and previously told us she\u00a0feels the same way<\/strong><\/a> about Leslie Van Houten<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<\/h5>\n
