\"BoyzJohn Singleton<\/strong><\/a> will get one last official sendoff from his fans, friends and family \u2026 and it\u2019s going down where he graduated film school.<\/p>\n

TMZ\u2019s learned the late famed director will have a big memorial celebration at USC on May 21 from 11-2 PM. We\u2019re told details are still being worked out regarding which celebs may speak or perform \u2026 but several have already RSVP\u2019d they\u2019ll be there.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As we reported \u2026 a private funeral and Celebration of Life<\/strong><\/a> was held last week for John\u2019s closest friends and loved ones \u2014 like Ludacris<\/strong><\/a>, Ice Cube<\/strong><\/a>, Tyrese<\/strong><\/a>, Maxine Waters<\/strong><\/a>, Ving Rhames<\/strong> and Jim Brown<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 but the USC event will be much larger.<\/p>\n

\"Cedars-Sinai<\/a>We\u2019re told it\u2019s not going to be a total free-for-all for the public \u2026 it won\u2019t be super small like the funeral, but a few thousand invites will go out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The memorial will showcase Singleton\u2019s past work and pay homage to his life and career.<\/p>\n

Singleton died on April 28<\/strong><\/a> at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. after being taken off life support following a massive stroke<\/strong><\/a> on April 17. The \u201cBoyz n the Hood\u201d director had been in a coma in ICU since then.<\/p>\n

He was 51.<\/p>\n
