Catches Backlash for Odd Pairings<\/span><\/p>\n

\"ArianaTIME Magazine just released their annual list of the 100 most influential people \u2014 and the outlet\u2019s catching serious backlash for including a guy many have dubbed a villain \u2026 as well as his alleged victim.<\/p>\n

Both Christine Blasey Ford<\/strong> and Brett Kavanaugh<\/strong><\/a> are among TIME\u2019s 100, and lots of folks are taking issue with Justice Kavanaugh\u2019s nomination \u2026 courtesy of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell<\/strong>, who penned Brett\u2019s relatively brief entry.\u00a0<\/p>\n

McConnell says when \u201cunhinged partisanship and special interests sought to distract\u201d the Senate from considering Kavanaugh\u2019s sterling record as a judge, the country \u201csaw his resilience and commitment to public service.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

His actual testimony<\/strong><\/a> was a bit more raucous than how Mitch characterizes it here, but either way \u2026 people are NOT happy he\u2019s in there with Blasey Ford, who got categorized with the \u201cIcons\u201d of the list. Senator Kamala Harris praised her courage for coming forward with her story of sexual violence, saying she forced the country to reckon with the issue.<\/p>\n

There were some other notable entries in the Top 100 list as well, with some stars transcending into the icons category while others were left behind as just \u201cArtists.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift<\/strong>, Lady Gaga<\/strong>, and Spike Lee<\/strong> are all icons now. Meanwhile, Ariana Grande<\/strong>, BTS<\/strong>, The Rock<\/strong>, Emilia Clarke<\/strong> and Glenn Close<\/strong> are nothing more than artists.<\/p>\n

Some other honorable mentions \u2014 LeBron James<\/strong><\/a> got on as a \u201ctitan,\u201d as did Tiger Woods<\/strong><\/a> and Gayle King<\/strong><\/a>. Oh, and AOC<\/strong><\/a> and Robert Mueller<\/strong><\/a> both got in as \u201cleaders.\u201d Congrats!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
