R. Kelly<\/span><\/p>\n Begs Media to Be Easy on Him \u2026<\/span><\/p>\n Ahead of Paid Event<\/span><\/p>\n R. Kelly<\/strong><\/a> is trying to get some cash in the bank, but before what seems to be one of his first paid events in a while \u2026 he\u2019s already getting ahead of potentially bad optics.<\/p>\n The embattled R&B singer took to Instagram Saturday to record a video of himself in front of what appears to be his Trump Tower residence in Chicago. He says he\u2019s gonna be at an event tonight in Springfield, IL \u2026 one that\u2019s gonna line his pockets, apparently.<\/p>\n R. Kelly asks the media for a big favor \u2014 to \u201ctake it easy\u201d on him, as this is one of the few ways he can make money at the moment. In the clip, he says if and when the media sees him in the club with a couple drinks in his hand \u2014 which presumably means photos or video of this will be leaked at some point \u2014 just know he\u2019s only there to collect a check.<\/p>\n It sounds like R. Kelly was anticipating his appearance getting out to the public, and wanted to get ahead of a bad look of him partying in the middle of a serious criminal case<\/strong><\/a>. It\u2019s unclear where exactly he\u2019ll be Saturday night \u2026 he didn\u2019t mention the venue by name.<\/p>\n As we\u2019ve reported \u2026 R. Kelly\u2019s been stuck between a rock and a hard place financially these past couple months, with people having to help put up major dough not once<\/strong> <\/a>but TWICE<\/strong><\/a> to get him out of jail.
