The album\u2019s set to drop on June 6, but fans won\u2019t have to wait that long to get a taste of Avicii\u2019s latest genius. The single \u201cSOS\u201d will be released on April 10.<\/p>\n<p>Avicii\u2019s team says the DJ was close to completing the new album before his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2018\/04\/20\/avicii-dead-28\/\"><strong>tragic passing<\/strong><\/a> back in April 2018. The team says Avicii left behind a collection of nearly finished songs \u2026 along with notes, email conversations and text messages about the music.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"lightbox-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/photos\/2018\/04\/20\/avicii-photos\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Avicii\" alt=\"Avicii\" src=\"https:\/\/etrafficlane.com\/newline\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/1554478185_772_Avicii039s-Team-Announces-It039s-Releasing-New-Album-039TIM039.jpg\" \/><\/a>The DJ\u2019s family then decided it wanted to share it with fans around the world. Proceeds from the album will benefit the Tim Bergling Foundation to help prevent mental illness and suicide.<\/p>\n<p>TMZ broke the story \u2026 Avicii committed suicide with a broken glass he used to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2018\/05\/01\/avicii-dj-suicide-glass-cut-bottle-death\/\"><strong>cut himself<\/strong><\/a>, causing massive bleeding.
