Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are very sorry to hear that Tania Mallet who played Tilly Masterson in GOLDFINGER has passed away. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gMkqqheGJ7\">pic.twitter.com\/gMkqqheGJ7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 James Bond (@007) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/007\/status\/1112469415650648066?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 31, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>No other details were released about the circumstances surrounding her death.<\/p>\n<p>Tania\u2019s main claim to fame was starring alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/person\/sean-connery\/\"><strong>Sean Connery<\/strong><\/a> as Tilly Masterson \u2014 one of the early Bond girls who didn\u2019t make it come the end credits.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Funny enough \u2026 Tania actually auditioned for the role of another Bond girl in the 007 movie right before \u201cGoldfinger\u201d \u2014 \u201cFrom Russia with Love\u201d \u2014 but she didn\u2019t make the cut until 1964.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aPfAUnDP9GE&#038;w=728&#038;h=410]<\/p>\n<p>Her role in \u201cGoldfinger\u201d ended up being one of Tania\u2019s only acting credits in her career \u2014 she went on to act in an episode of the \u201970s show \u201cThe New Avengers,\u201d but that\u2019s it. She did, however, have a prolific modeling career that got started in the \u201950s at age 16.<\/p>\n<p>Tania was 77.
