\"Bloods\"Lil Wayne<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is demanding the return of a notebook filled with his old lyrics, but the guy trying to sell it for $250k says the rapper\u2019s just gonna have to buy it like anyone else off the street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We broke the story \u2026 Weezy\u2019s 1999 notebook is being sold by Moments in Time<\/strong><\/a> for a quarter-million dollars, and the dude claiming ownership says he found it lodged in a car that once belonged to Cash Money Records.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now Wayne\u2019s trying like hell to get his work back \u2026 his attorneys fired off a warning letter to Moments in Time, claiming Wayne\u2019s the rightful owner, and the broker doesn\u2019t have permission to sell or transfer the notebook to anyone.<\/p>\n

In the letter, obtained by TMZ, Wayne\u2019s legal team says he never abandoned his notebook \u2014 he simply misplaced it and is thrilled it\u2019s been found. Weezy\u2019s team claims the guy who found it \u201cabsconded with the notebook\u201d and hid it for years \u2026 waiting to cash in.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Gary Zimet<\/strong>, the owner of Moments in Time, is firing back \u2026 he says if the Young Money honcho wants the notebook, he\u2019ll have to pony up, because the guy who found it \u201chas crystal clear title.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s fine with Wayne \u2014 he\u2019s threatening legal action if Moments in Time doesn\u2019t stop the sale<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and we know he can afford a lawyer or two.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
