Michael Jackson<\/span><\/p>\n Carried by Jesus<\/span><\/p>\n \u2026 Owning the Devil<\/span><\/p>\n 3\/21\/2019 7:25 AM PDT<\/p>\n Jackson is the focus of an art show at the Bundeskunsthalle museum in Bonn, Germany called \u201cMichael Jackson: On the Wall\u201d \u2026 and the timing couldn\u2019t be more curious in the wake of \u201cLeaving Neverland\u201d and the #MuteMichael movement.<\/p>\n The artwork\u2019s provocative as hell, too \u2014 literally \u2014 with one piece by David LaChapelle<\/strong> called \u201cAmerican Jesus: Archangel Michael Jackson\u201d showing MJ with angel wings standing on the devil.<\/p>\n Another one of the artist\u2019s \u2018American Jesus\u2019 pieces \u2014 titled \u2018Hold Me, Carry Me Boldly\u2019 \u2014 portrays Jackson being held by Jesus. It\u2019s akin to\u00a0Michelangelo\u2019s Piet\u00e0 sculpture, which portrays the crucified Jesus being cradled by his mother Mary.\u00a0<\/p>\n There\u2019s also a piece by artist Kehinde Wiley<\/strong> swapping out the face of Spain\u2019s King Philip II for Michael\u2019s.<\/p>\n You get the picture.<\/p>\n As you know \u2026 Jackson\u2019s characterized as the opposite of a Christlike figure in the HBO documentary, which includes disturbing allegations<\/strong><\/a> from 2 of his accusers, Wade Robson<\/strong><\/a> and James Safechuck<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The impact of the doc has been wide-reaching, with many folks calling for an all-out Jackson ban \u2026 and even his episode of \u201cThe Simpsons\u201d has been pulled<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Not in Germany though.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/h5>\n
